URGENT: Tell your Senators to take action to stop Israeli settler violence
View this email in your browser

Kathryn,

Since the start of 2026, there have been more than 1,600 Israeli settler attacks on Palestinians and Palestinian property in the West Bank, averaging about 7 attacks per day.1

This is not an abstract statistic for our team. Palestinians across the West Bank, including our own friends and family, are saying the same thing: the Israeli assaults have increased exponentially and they are terrified.

For months, our communities have pushed members of Congress to do something about this campaign of violence—violence that has U.S. foreign military aid stamped all over it.

Finally, members of the Senate have responded by introducing Senate Resolution 852, a resolution requesting an investigation into Israel's human rights practices in the West Bank (pursuant to section 502B(c) of the Foreign Assistance Act) as a critical step towards cutting off military funding.

Write To Your Senators
If passed, S.Res. 852  would require the State Department to issue an official investigation and report on Israeli military and settler violence in the West Bank—including the murder of nine American citizens in recent years—within 30 days of the vote. If the State Department fails to produce the report within the mandated time frame, “foreign assistance” to Israel must be frozen.2

A recent poll by the Institute for Middle East Understanding found that 83% of Democrats and 82% of Republicans support State Department action in response to Israel’s violence in the West Bank, including investigating the murder of U.S. citizens by Israeli forces.3

Those numbers are some of the highest we’ve ever seen. It’s on us to ensure Senators are casting votes without a shadow of a doubt on where their constituents stand.

The bill has already been co-sponsored by nearly two dozen Senators.4 The action we take today could help double that number before the bill is called for a vote.

We know the attacks in the West Bank are part of a concerted effort to sever indigenous Palestinians’ connection to the land, soil and trees that form part of their DNA and have been in their care for centuries. We cannot stand by and watch it happen.

Senator Van Hollen’s resolution offers a path towards ending U.S. complicity in decades of Israeli oppression and ethnic cleansing. And every opportunity that arises to bring about a shred of accountability is an opportunity we cannot pass up.

Take Action Now

With gratitude,

Izzy
