ACTION ALERT: Senate could vote this week on the US-Israel Military Merger

Hi Kathryn, I am once again asking for you to join our phonebank tomorrow, Sept 16th at 7pm ET to stop the Deadly U.S.-Israel Military Merger. We've heard rumblings that the Senate could vote on the NDAA this week, so we’re going all out to jam their phone lines. Yesterday, a number of you joined us for an all-day marathon phonebank. Together we made over 24,000 calls and recruited 180 new volunteers to join our efforts. Grandmothers joined with their grandsons, friends gathered in living rooms, and we all encouraged each other to keep taking action together. Let’s keep that momentum going, and show these senators that we aren’t going anywhere until our government ends its complicity in Israel’s crimes. Sign up to phonebank Tomorrow evening, we’ll be making supporter-to-supporter calls again. You’ll call constituents of strategically important senators and patch them directly through to their offices. We’re going to target several senators on the Armed Services Committee and Appropriations Committee who have the most say on what makes it into the final version of the NDAA and whether or not it will include the Deadly Merger provision (House Section 219/Senate Section 1217). We have an opportunity right now to demand that our senators refuse to move forward with a vote on the NDAA until the Deadly Merger provision is removed. This is our best chance to block this provision before the conference process. When our politicians are about to authorize a $1.15 trillion national defense budget in the middle of a devastating affordability crisis, with a provision that deepens our ties to a genocidal nation, we must demonstrate MASS DISSENT. It is absolutely unconscionable for our government to pass policy that would further integrate U.S. and Israeli military tech, data and weapons production as Israel continues its genocide against the Palestinian people. We cannot stand by as our lawmakers quietly sweep “Netanyahu’s plan” to entrench U.S. funding for the Israeli war machine into a broad Pentagon spending bill.
