Dear Luis,   Already, JVP members and supporters have raised over $181,000 for the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA), including nearly $50,000 in the last week alone. Will you help us get to $200,000 by donating right now?   As you read this, the Israeli government is starving over two million Palestinians to death. Half of them are children.   Israel’s campaign of mass starvation in Gaza has reached a tipping point. Right now, it’s absolutely critical that we support Palestinians in meeting essential needs as they survive under unimaginable conditions.    MECA has worked to meet the needs of Palestinian children and families for decades, and their emergency response is working tirelessly to meet the needs of Palestinian families even under extremely dire conditions.

Palestinians desperate to feed their families are risking their lives to collect bags of flour and whatever meager rations Israel allows into Gaza. The U.N. said on Monday that at least 63 Palestinians have died from starvation this month alone. Over a third of them were children under 5.  Throughout the course of the genocide, MECA's staff and local partners in Gaza have been on the ground providing emergency assistance Palestinians need to survive:  Opened community kitchens that provided more than 20,000 hot meals to families each and every day.  Delivered hundreds of thousands of meals, food parcels, and hygiene kits to displaced families. Distributed over 3 million gallons of clean drinking water. In the last week alone, JVP members and supporters raised nearly $50,000 — and over $181,000 to date. Help us get to $200,000 by donating right now. Forced famine is here, and Palestinians are emaciated, collapsing in the streets, and dying from hunger.
