Support Palestinian steadfastness in the face of Israel’s threats to violently destroy the West Bank
Dear Kathryn, The olive harvest season has arrived. Across Palestine, families, neighbors, and entire communities gather in their groves to tend to the land and harvest olive trees that have been passed down for generations. Traditionally a festive time of year, the olive harvest is often marked by Israeli settler violence, which has only intensified in recent years as the Israeli apartheid state makes moves to steal more and more of the West Bank. Today, Palestinian families are gathering to pick olives in spite of these dangers. This week Israel cut off the occupied West Bank from the rest of the world, while Israel’s Finance Minister threatened to completely destroy the West Bank as Israel “did in Gaza.”1 Palestinians are often barred from accessing their own lands and harvesting the fruits of their labor. Protected by Israeli occupation forces, Israeli settlers are increasing their violent attacks on farmers and their families, poisoning, cutting down, and setting fire to centuries-old trees with complete impunity.2 As Palestinian families defend their land, you can support their steadfastness by donating to plant olive trees in Palestine and power the movement in the U.S. |

According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Israeli settler violence reached new heights during last year’s olive harvest season: |

“Settler violence during this olive harvest season has reached the highest level recorded in recent years, with about 150 attacks documented so far, resulting in the injury of more than 140 Palestinians and the vandalism of over 4,200 trees and saplings across 77 villages.”3 |

When you donate today, you’re not just helping ensure farmers have generational ties to the land. You’re showing the world that support for Palestinian liberation is growing—that the movement is not going anywhere. Thank you in advance for your generosity, Kathryn! |
